Hi, I'm Rachel Gregory
Iâm a city girl, born and raised in Manhattan, NY. I grew up playing sports, refusing to wear dresses (sorry Mom), and thinking that I was going to be the first woman in the NBA. I grew up in a pretty health-conscious household and although I was by no means overweight, I definitely spent many years going through chubby-skinny-chubby phases and suffered from a ton of âyo-yoâ dieting throughout middle-school, high-school, and definitely into college.Â
After suffering from a bad ankle injury during my junior year of high school, I had to put that NBA dream on hold. Instead of being an athlete, I figured the next best thing would be treating the athletes. So, I went to college to pursue a degree in Sports Medicine from the University of Miami. Fast forward a few years⌠loved my school, my teachers, the athletes I worked with but started to develop a new passion for the field of nutrition.
I decided to pursue this new passion, and went on to get my Masterâs degree in Nutrition & Exercise Physiology from James Madison University. I became obsessed with learning everything I could about nutrition. For my master's thesis, I completed the first-ever human clinical study looking at the fat loss and body re-composition effects of a ketogenic diet in non-elite CrossFit athletes.
Publishing this study was what really propelled me into furthering my knowledge on all things nutrition, health, and fitness. I wrote a best-selling book, moved to southern California, and now have my own online nutrition and fitness business where I focus on helping my clients become lean, strong, and confident while optimizing all aspects of their physical and mental well-being.
What's my why? Why do I do what I do?
My goal as a coach is to inspire and guide others on how to improve their lives and achieve their goals through proper education, awareness, and accountability as it relates to all aspects of nutrition and fitness. The majority of my clients are women (with a few males sprinkled in the mix).
I help my clients transform their lives by starting with the physical (body), realizing the power of the mental (mindset), and ultimately gaining massive confidence that bleeds into every aspect of their lives (family, relationships, work, etc.).
I pride myself in practicing what I preach and never being dogmatic about my views. I believe that in the nutrition and fitness world, itâs important to be open-minded and continue to learn each and every day.
I also believe you should always educate rather than dictate. I donât tell my clients what to do, I teach them HOW to do it and WHY they are doing it so that they can understand and sustain their results long-term.
Change your body, change your mind, change your confidence, CHANGE YOUR LIFE!
